About
Ali-Abbas is a Ph.D. student in Chemical Engineering and a fellow in the Integrated Graduate Program in Physical & Engineering Biology (PEB). He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Utah, where he conducted research in Dr. Thomas Zangle’s Lab in developing novel materials for constructing microfluidic hydrogel arrays used to study single-cell dynamics and drug effects on cellular growth. Before joining Yale, he completed an M.S. in Bioprocess Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. At Yale, his research explores protein conformational dynamics and free energy calculations. Outside the lab, Ali-Abbas enjoys weightlifting, gardening, and visiting art museums.
