From August 1-4, 2023, Arlind attended the international Physics of Living Systems (iPoLS) 2023 annual meeting at Georgia Tech.

On June 4-9, Fernanda and Omar attended the 4th i-CoMSE workshop on “Fundamentals and Applications of DFT” at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.

SEAS Dean Jeffrey Brock announced Prof. Amir Haji-Akbari as the winner of the 2023 Ackerman Award in Teaching and Mentoring. 

His dissertation presentation was titled “Understanding Crystal Nucleation Using Molecular Simulations and Path Sampling Techniques.”
